Hacker. A term that conjures up images of computer tyrants exploiting other computers to obtain control or steal information. But that’s not the only kind of ‘hacker’ out there. In fact, YOU may be a hacker, and you don’t even know it! Join us on Wednesday, June 26 at 1:00 pm at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library as we ‘Hack the Surface’ with a variety of hacker/maker activities, including TabLab, BrushBots, and MakeyMakey, that will put your mind and skills to the test!

First come, first served on supplies for BrushBots.

As part of our Summer Reading program, celebrate Independence Day with an Ice Cream Social at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Tuesday, July 2 from 1:30-2:30 pm. The program is open to kids and teens of all ages.

Join us at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Sunday, June 23, at 1:30 pm to learn about Zinio, and how to make it a part of your digital life!

Need volunteer hours for high school graduation or college applications?
Anyone age 12-18 interested in volunteering for the Glenwood Springs Branch Library this summer is invited to a Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 pm. We will prepare you to be an active volunteer for summer programs and other regular duties in the library. Come, have fun, and volunteer!

This free introductory class will be held at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library and will offer hands-on training to adults who have little or no experience with Microsoft Word. We'll make you more confident when using computers in the library, at work, at home or when looking for a job. The class will be held from 1:30 pm to 3:30pm on Sunday, July 21.
