Children (ages 3-5) and their accompanying adults are invited to attend a special preschool story time on a bus parked in front of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. On Wednesday October 3rd the library will host a RFTA bus, and Wednesday October 10th will feature a school bus. Adults and children can take a seat on the bus at 10:30 am to hear a safety presentation, sing songs, and independently read to each other.
If you love words, games, and having fun, this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 5:30-8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join, and the club is free and open to the public. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials, and dictionaries are provided.

The sale will be held from Saturday October 6th through Saturday October 13th. Don’t miss the special preview for Friends members on Friday October 5th from 5 pm to 7 pm. Calling all quilters, stampers, needle crafters and scrap bookers! Want to have a day of fun and accomplishment? We’ll have tables, irons, ironing boards and cutting mats all set up for your convenience. Drop in and bring your project for a day of crafting, food and friends. Bring your own lunch; refreshments will be provided. Tackle It Tuesdays takes place at the Parachute Branch Library from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 13th.

If they are on a disc or memory stick we can project them onto a large screen for all to see. Club meets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14th.

Eventually, we hope to create an anthology of short stories by our local your elementary school age writers and artists. Participants must be able to write.

Dana & Susan Robinson, an acoustic duo is from Asheville, North Carolina, are performing at Garfield County Libraries this November. Their sound is a blend of oldtime mountain music and contemporary songwriting featuring the guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo.
