Toddler Storytime

Come to the New Castle Branch Library on Thursday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for Toddler Storytime.  This storytime is for younger children.

Preschool Storytime

Preschool storytime at the New Castle Branch Library will be held Tuesdays at 10:30 am.

The Original Frankenstein Movie Event

Join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, October 24th at 6:00 p.m. to watch the original timeless classic Frankenstein movie staring Boris Karloff. We will have a special prize for those who dare to wear a costume inspired by a character in the movie. Come prepared to have fun.

Friends of the Gordon Cooper Branch Library Fall Book Sale

The Gordon Cooper Library announces the Fall Book Sale starting Friday September 14th and continuing through Monday September 24th during regular library hours.

Donations for the book sale will be accepted starting September 1st during regular library hours. This year we have an exceptional number of high quality book donations; more items than we have storage space. Plan to shop this outstanding sale. 

We are also seeking volunteers to help at the sale, if interested please contact the library.

Scrabble Club

If you love words, games, and having fun, this club is for you! Our adult Scrabble Club meets from 6-8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Beginners and experts alike are encouraged to join and the club is free and open to the public. Make new friends and learn new Scrabble strategies. Scrabble boards, scoring materials, and dictionaries will be provided.

Teen Movie Matinee

Teens are welcome to join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. for popcorn and a movie! We will be watching the movie Coraline. For more information call Lee at (970) 984-2346.

Teen Book Club

 Teens are invited to join us at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th for our very first book club meeting where we will be discussing Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. You can reserve a copy of the book here or call the library at (970) 984-2346.  We will also be selecting the next book at this meeting.

Teen Advisory Group (New Castle Branch Library)

If you are in grades 7-12, you are invited to become a part of the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) at the New Castle Branch Library! The TAG works with the library to shape library services.  This is your opportunity to help plan programs and tell us what books, movies and music you would like us to purchase for the library.

TAG meets the third Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m.

Duct Tape Creations

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join us at the New Castle Library on Saturday, September, 15th at 3:00 p.m. to create your very own Duct (or Duck) Tape Wallet!  Program is limited to 15 participants, please contact the library to reserve your spot.

Preschool Storytime

Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, and their accompanying adults are invited to attend Preschool Storytime at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m..
