5th Element 3-4 Class @ Silt

Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Silt Branch Library on Friday, November 2 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to have fun making explosions with Ms. Lauren Zabawa! Join us for experiments galore where we will be making hypothesis, testing different variables, recording our results, and having fun. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Children in 3rd and 4th grades are invited to the Rifle Branch Library on Friday, November 30 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to learn about creatures living in the ocean with Ms. Cathy Carlson. Discover the fascinating fish and animals living in the ocean—from the sunlight zone close to the surface to thousands of feet down to the mysterious midnight zone. We will make our own project using computers and videos to explore creatures of the deep like a submersible ocean vehicle. (Recommended, but not required, that you begin this exploration on November 9.) Snacks and supplies will be provided.

Students will be experimenting with different foods to see how they smell, look, feel and taste. Students will listen to different sounds from our everyday world and identify what they are. The class will get to experience what it would be like if they lost some of their senses, and how hard it would be to do simple tasks. Snacks and supplies will be provided.

Students will be experimenting with different foods to see how they smell, look, feel and taste. Students will listen to different sounds from our everyday world and identify what they are. The class will get to experience what it would be like if they lost some of their senses, and how hard it would be to do simple tasks. Snacks and supplies will be provided.
