WRITE ON with the Carbondale Branch Library Writers' Group! The goal of this monthly group is to provide a supportive environment for writers of all genres; from the novice to the experienced. Attendees will have the opportunity to share and explore their own writing, their peers’ writing and writing in general. Open to all writers and future writers, teen and adult. This group meets on the 2nd Monday of every month at the Carbondale Branch Library at 6:00 pm.

Special weekly musical storytime full of songs, stories, and more! For all ages. Led by Carbondale Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer. Musical Storytime is held on Mondays at 4:00 pm at the Carbondale Branch Library.
Children must be accompanied by an adult during all storytimes.
Join us this month as we discuss Colum McCann's "TransAtlantic." Limited copies will be available at the library. Bring a treat to share and enjoy for the potluck lunch. Ladies Who Do Lunch Bunch will meet on Tuesday, October 15 from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the Parachute Branch Library.
Designed for kids in grades 4-6, this program is HANDS on learning at its best! Each meeting we challenge you to come ready for the good, the bad and yes the really gross! This month is The Good, the Bad, and the Gross add SPOOKY to its list of adjectives! Join us at the Parachute Branch Library on Monday, October 7 at 3:00 pm.
Cultivate your inner foodie at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on the fourth Monday of every month from 4:00 - 5:30 pm. Each month will focus on a different cuisine, starting with candy cooking in October. For ages 13 - 18, signup is required due to limited space and supplies.
Join other teens at Bluebird Cafe for a caffeine jolt and a good read. Our first book will be The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Stop by any library to order this title. Our selections will be mature books for mature teens, ages 13-18. Held on the second Monday of every month at 730 Grand Ave, 4:00 - 5:00 pm.
A limited supply of The Fault in Our Stars" will be available on opening day (September 14) for teens interested in joining book club to check out.
Be the voice of Glenwood Springs teens! Teen Advisors Group is a group of teen volunteers ages 13 to 18 that are dedicated to helping plan and implement teen events, as well as advising staff on what books, music and videos to offer teens. TAG meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 4:00 - 5:00 pm. Snacks will be provided.
The zombie apocalypse may already be upon us. So why not join the shuffling corpses? Satiate your hunger for brains at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library during a Halloween Zombie Walk geared for teens and adults ages 12 and up. On October 31 meet at the library at 4:30 pm to spend one hour getting zombified. At 5:30 pm we’ll invade downtown as zombie corpses. Limited makeup supplies and fake blood will be provided, so please bring as much of your completed costume and makeup as possible.
Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, and their accompanying adults are invited to join us at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library for a special Halloween storytime on Wednesday, October 30 at 10:30 am. We’ll go trick-or-treating in the library and around the block, ending at the fire station. Costumes are welcome, but not required.
Kids in grades K-5 are invited to join ʺAfter School Clubʺ at the library! From 3:45 - 4:45 on Thursdays, we'll play games, read, enjoy snacks and have homework time. Please bring a book and any homework you have. Light snacks will be served.
