Taking Science to the Extreme: Arctic Research Adventure
The Gordon Cooper Branch Library presents "Taking Science to the Extreme: Arctic Research Adventure" with Susy Ellison on Thursday, April 26 at 6:30pm. What do tree rings and chert chips have in common? How is climate change impacting trees at the northern limits of their growth? Why and how do scientists travel to the far north to study old trees and ancient cultures? What does it really take to "do" scientific research in far-away places? She will talk about the science and process of doing field research in "extreme" locations.
