Come celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights! We will be hosting a Hanukkah Party at the Carbondale Branch Library on Monday, December 2 at 4:00 pm. We'll sing Hanukkah songs, light a Menorah, play with Driedels (spinning tops), and eat Latkes (potato pancakes). This year Hanukkah begins the night of November 27, and ends the night of December 5. Do you have a favorite Hanukkah recipe? Feel free to bring a dish of latkes, donuts, or cookies to share. This event is open to everyone: those who celebrate Hanukkah and anyone interested in learning more about this holiday.
Teens and kids are invited to use our iPad TabLab in our Community Room to check out great apps, browse the internet, play games, or do schoolwork. Teen TabLab takes place each Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at the Carbondale Branch Library.
Bring your scratched discs to Disc-A-Palooza at the Rifle Branch Library on Saturday, December 7! For $2.00 each we will repair, resurface, and return your discs to you in pristine condition. Now accepting BluRay and small game discs. First come, first served.
The Rifle Friends of the Library Book Club title for December is "Belong to Me" by Marisa de los Santos. We will meet on Tuesday, December 10 at 12:00 pm.
