Teen Book Club

 Teens are invited to join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, October 10th at 5:00 pm.m for our very own book club. The book that will be discussed will be chosen at the September meeting, call the library at 984-2346 to find out the title. Please be ready to discuss the book at our meeting. We will also be selecting the next book at this meeting.

Felt Creatures

Teens are invited to join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Saturday, October 6th at 3:00 p.m. to create their very own felt creature. Creatures can be cute and cuddly to gruesome monsters, you decide!


This craft program is limited to 15 teens. grades 7-12. Call Lee at 984-2346 to register or sign-up at the library.

Teen Movie Matinee

Teens are welcome to join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Friday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. for popcorn and a movie! We will be watching the movie Coraline. For more information call Lee at (970) 984-2346.

Teen Book Club

 Teens are invited to join us at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 12th for our very first book club meeting where we will be discussing Douglas Adam's Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. You can reserve a copy of the book here or call the library at (970) 984-2346.  We will also be selecting the next book at this meeting.

Teen Advisory Group (New Castle Branch Library)

If you are in grades 7-12, you are invited to become a part of the Teen Advisory Group (TAG) at the New Castle Branch Library! The TAG works with the library to shape library services.  This is your opportunity to help plan programs and tell us what books, movies and music you would like us to purchase for the library.

TAG meets the third Monday of every month at 5:00 p.m.

Duct Tape Creations

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to join us at the New Castle Library on Saturday, September, 15th at 3:00 p.m. to create your very own Duct (or Duck) Tape Wallet!  Program is limited to 15 participants, please contact the library to reserve your spot.

Paranormal Teen Party

The Silt Branch Library is hosting a Paranormal Party for teens at the library on October 30th from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Join us for a fun party on all things paranormal, and if you are a bit daring, come dressed up as your favorite paranormal character.

Best Books for Tweens

Need something great to read?  Come to the Parachute Branch Library on Monday, October 15th from 3:00 to 4:00 pm where Miss Michelle will grab your attention and fill your must read list with the latest books for tweens.  Books discussed will be most appropriate for tweens in grades 5-8.

Celebrate Teen Read Week: Get Caught Reading

Celebrate Teen Read Week by getting "caught" reading.  From Monday October 15th through Saturday October 20th if one of our library supporters sees you reading, you will be given a Get Caught Reading coupon.  Visit the Parachute Branch Library and redeem your coupon before 10/31/12.  Pizza, cool cash, books, sandwiches are just a few of the rewards for reading.  You never know where we will be...grab a book and get caught reading!

Date a Book - Rate a Book

We invite you to spend a few minutes dating and rating some of the latest teen reads in our library.  Stop by the front desk of the Parachute Branch Library between October 15th and 19th, pick up the "dating/rating" cards and you are off on your grand adventure.  Dating/rating does have its rewards, stop in and find your perfect mate!
