 Find a great read at a bargain price at the upcoming used book sale, sponsored by the Friends of the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. The sale will be held from Saturday October 6th through Saturday October 13th. Don’t miss the special preview for Friends members on Friday October 5th from 5 pm to 7 pm. Friends memberships are available at the door.

Do you love Manga and Anime? So do we! Join us at the New Castle Branch Library on Thursday evenings at 5:00 p.m. to talk about your favorites, get recommendations and practice your drawing skills.

 Garfield County Libraries is hosting the Big Read featuring John Steinbeck’s “The Grapes of Wrath” in February 2013. The Big Read, sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts, is designed to promote reading and discussion of great books. Garfield County Libraries’ Big Read title coincides with the release of Ken Burn’s new documentary entitled, “The Dust Bowl,” set to air on PBS in November.  Join Rifle Branch Library's Teen Reads Book Club. We will kick off our book club this year on September 17th at 6;00 p.m.

Teen Zone takes place in the Gordon Cooper Library Community Room at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays.  Study, surf the net, read, write, draw, hang out. Bring a laptop or borrow one of ours.

Come to the library on Friday, August 31st at 7:00 p.m. to watch the newly released DVD The Hunger Games.  Pizza and drinks will be served!  This event is for teens. Middle school and up ONLY!  There will also be a drawing for a copy of the The Hunger Games movie DVD.

Every Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. the Rifle Branch Library will host open play on our Wii console. Teens from middle school and up are invited to join in for games and after school snacks!
