Storytime will be held off site while the library is closed in preparation for our move to our new building. But, not to fear, children and parents/caregivers can still enjoy fun books, songs, and arts and crafts with Jeannine. The only difference will be the location! This special nature-themed storytime will include guest performances by forest rangers and a chance to explore natural objects and will be held at the Forest Service office in Carbondale at 620 Main Street.

 Members of the Tween Book Club have created their own book review magazine "Page by Page: Tween's Choice 2013." Join the members for a magazine release pizza party on Thursday, June 13 at 4:00 pm at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Tween Book Club will take a break for the rest of the summer and resume this fall in the new library building!  Storytime is going on the Road to Clark's Market. Join the Parachute Branch Library for storytime and a tour to find out what goes on behind the milk! Children of all ages are invited.

 Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00 to 5:00 pm for PAWS to READ! Children in grades K-5 can sign up to read to the dogs for approximately 15 minutes. Featuring dogs and handlers/literacy specialists from Heeling Partners of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Stories, songs, and fingerplays for children. For children ages 1-5. Led by Alejandra Rico, Assistant Youth Services Librarian.

Bilingual Storytime/Hora de Cuentos Bilingües takes place at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 am.

There will be no Bilingual Storytime/Hora de Cuentos Bilingües on June 26.

 Led by an instructor from the Aspen Art Museum, Story Art combines learning to read with art-making and activities that build visual literacy. This popular program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Story Art programs are held at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:45 pm and are for children in grades K-5.
