Storytime will be held off site while the library is closed in preparation for our move to our new building. But, not to fear, children and parents/caregivers can still enjoy fun books, songs, and arts and crafts with Jeannine. The only difference will be the location! This special nature-themed storytime will include guest performances by forest rangers and a chance to explore natural objects and will be held at the Forest Service office in Carbondale at 620 Main Street.
Members of the Tween Book Club have created their own book review magazine "Page by Page: Tween's Choice 2013." Led by an instructor from the Aspen Art Museum, Story Art combines learning to read with art-making and activities that build visual literacy. This popular program introduces children to the basic foundations of art through engaging storybooks, looking activities, and hands-on art projects. Story Art programs are held at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on the first Tuesday of each month at 3:45 pm and are for children in grades K-5.
