Storytime with Sue
Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library at 6:00 p.m. on September 24th for Storytime with Sue! Great for dads, moms and children through age 6. Bedtime songs and stories. Pajamas optional!
Popcorn and a Movie
Come and join us at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14th, for popcorn and a movie! The Rifle Branch Library is hosting a showing of the movie "Hugo" based on the book "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" by Brian Selznick. This movie is recommended for kids aged elementary school school and up.
Bedtime Storytime
Come and enjoy stories, songs, crafts and a bedtime snack on the second Monday of each month at 6:30pm! Bedtime storytime has changed days starting in September due to our new hours of operation!
Holiday Ornament Workshop & Santa Visit
Create your own special holiday ornaments and then visit with Santa at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, Dec 19th. The craft workshop will begin at 5:30 pm. and Santa will arrive at 6:30. Join us for this special holiday event! This event is being co-sponsored by the New Castle Friends of the Library.
Tween Book Club
Beginning on September 13th, Tweens (ages 9 to 12) are invited to read and talk about good books at the library. The Tween Book Club will meet after school at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on the second Thursday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Light snacks will be served.
Reading Buddies
Be a Reading Buddy at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Younger readers (kindergarten to third grades) are paired with older reading buddies (fourth to eighth grades) to practice reading and develop a love for reading. Reading Buddies meets at the library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Preschool Storytime
Preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, and their accompanying adults are invited to attend story time at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.

Uncomplicated Book Club for Grade School Kids!
This special book club for elementary school children will explore some funny, scary, and serious books throughout the year. Join us at the New Castle Branch Library after school on the first Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. to discuss and explore the themes and characters of books. Maybe, we'll even write our own!
Teddy Bear Storytime
Bring your teddy, wear your pj's and join us for an evening of fun and stories with the zany Eva Fitzwater, storyteller extraordinaire! Monday, November 12th at 6:30 p.m. at the New Castle Branch Library.
