Tween Book Club

Tweens (ages 9 to 12) are invited to read and talk about good books at the library. The Tween Book Club meets after school on the second Thursday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Light snacks are served. 

Caroling Around the Block

Preschoolers ages 3 to 5 and their accompanying adults are invited to join us at the Glenwood Springs Library for a special holiday storytime on Wednesday, December 19th at 10:30 a.m. We will go caroling in the library and then around the block, including the fire station. 

Gingerbread Houses and Santa!

Santa Claus is coming to town on Wednesday December 5th and he will make a stop at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library!  Children (toddlers through fifth grade) and their accompanying adults are invited to come to the library to make a gingerbread house at 4:00 p.m. and Santa Claus will visit us at 4:30 p.m. All materials will be provided but please bring your own camera. 

Popcorn and a Movie en Español

Come and join us at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 27, for popcorn and a movie! The Glenwood Springs Branch Library is hosting a showing of the holiday movie "Elf" rerecorded in Spanish. This movie is rated PG and is recommended for kids aged elementary school and up. For more information call the library at 970-945-5958.

Bi-Lingual Preschool Storytime/ Cuentos Bilingues

Seasonal Songs with Sue

Come to a winter holiday sing along with our Youth Services Librarian and award winning children's musician, Sue Schnitzer. This will be an interactive and fun program for children through elementary school age and adults.  Program will take place at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Monday, December 17th at 6:00 p.m.

Storytime with Sue

Storytime with Sue takes place at 6:00 p.m. on Mondays at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library.  This special storytime is great for, dads, moms, and children through age 6.  There will be bedtime songs and stories- pajamas optional!  Please note there will be no storytime on December 24th or 31st.

Reading Buddies

Be a Reading Buddy at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Younger readers (kindergarten to third grades) are paired with older reading buddies (fourth to eighth grades) to practice reading and develop a love for reading. Reading Buddies meets at the library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. Please note there will be no program on Tuesday, December 25th.
