Join your friends at the Appletree Community Park every Thursday at 10:30 am this June and July for the New Castle Branch Library Outreach Summer Reading Program, Dig Into Reading.   The Museum of Western Colorado will lead a talk about what fossils are, how they are formed, what they can teach us, how they are found, their preparation and dating, why they are found in Colorado, and the work of a paleontologist. They will also provide a collection of fossils including dinosaur, plant, mammal, and sea creature remains. They will also talk briefly about the time line of our planet, the changing environment of Colorado, how dinosaurs behaved, and why they disappeared.
