 Spend a magical afternoon as we celebrate the New Year with a Fairy Tea Party. Whatever you wish your fairy to be, let's make that fairy be!

Party takes place at the Parachute Branch Library on Saturday, January 19th from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Space is limited. Reservation required. Grades 3-5 only.

Designed for grades 4-6 this is HANDS on learning at its best. Each meeting we challenge you to come ready for the good, the bad, and yes, the really gross!

Program meets at the Parachute Branch Library on Monday, January 14th from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Rifle Branch Library will be hosting a Teddy bear sleepover on January 9th from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Children come dressed in your pajamas and be sure to bring your favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal because your teddy will stay at the library overnight for a special sleepover! The evening will begin with stories, then we'll do a craft and also have a bedtime snack. Be sure to pick up your friend the next day along with a special souvenir! Find out what happens when the lights go out at the library!

Tweens (ages 9 to 12) are invited to read and talk about good books at the library.  Each member selects their own book to discuss. Tweens will be writing anonymous reviews for a library "magazine" and blog, as well as creating bookmarks about their books (to be displayed in the library). The Tween Book Club meets after school on the second Thursday of each month from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Light snacks are served.

 Be a Reading Buddy at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library. Younger readers (kindergarten to third grades) are paired with older reading buddies (fourth to eighth grades) to practice reading and develop a love for reading. Reading Buddies meets at the library from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays. For more information call the library at 970-945-5958.

Love a great story?  Watch it come alive and take part in this interactive storytime with Miss Marie on Mondays at 11:00 a.m.

Join us at the New Castle Branch Library every Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 for a "Chapter Book" Storytime, beginning January 4.   Each week we will continue the story where we stopped the week before!  No age limits, no stress, no grades; just fun with stories that are read to you!
