The New Castle Branch Library will be closed from Saturday, March 24 through Friday April 13 while we move into the newly remodeled library. The Grand Re-Opening will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at 402 West Main Street in New Castle.

The Rifle Branch Library is hosting a Spring Break Art Camp for kids ages 5-13 on March 28-30th from 12-3pm. Students will learn new art techniques, and a scholarship for the "Art from the Heart" art school in Rifle will be awarded for the most creative piece.
Parachute Branch Library staff are going to Bea Underwood Elementary School on Thursday, April 12, from 6:30-8:00pm to support Family Literacy Night. This evening will give parents and their kids the opportunity to ask any questions about the Library District and the upcoming Summer Reading Program, which will be starting in June. Jerry Barlow will be performing at the New Castle Branch Library on Wednesday, May 16 at 7pm. His music is said to have the power to transport listeners across time and space on an imaginary jouney to a rustic Irish fishing village, the misty Scottish Highlands, or an anceint English forest. To celebrate Poetry Month, everyone is invited to submit poetry to display at the Gordon Cooper Library on the "Poetry Wall" during the entire month of April. Local middle school classes will be displaying their poetry. Come in and check out the poetry written by community members of all ages.
