Computers don't seem to be going away, so isn't it time you improved those skills? This class is designed to help you learn the basics of computer use. With our small classes and friendly instructors, you can do it! Classes are free but advance registration and basic mouse skills are required. Friends members are invited to the book sale preview on Friday, September 30, from 5-7 p.m. Friends memberships will be available at the door for $10/person.
The Fall Used Book Sale at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library is open to the public from Saturday, October 1, through Saturday, October 8. The book sale will be open from 10 a.m. (1 p.m. on Sunday, October 2) to a half-hour before regular closing hours.
A Mighty Long Way is the subject of the 2011 CMC Common Reader program. Author Carlotta Walls LaNier will visit the West Garfield CMC Campus in Rifle on October 18 at 7 p.m. (click for a map). She will also be at the Aspen campus on October 19 at 10 a.m. (click for a map) and the Spring Valley campus at 7 p.m.
The New Castle Branch Library will be closed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 7th. Mark Twain will visit the Rifle Branch Library on Wednesday, July 27, at 7:00 p.m.
Dave Ehlert, a renowned Twain "performer," will inform and entertain as he presents Mark Twain's life story, wound around Twain's famous works with a strong emphasis on the importance of literacy. In celebration of this year's adult Summer Reading Program theme, Novel Destinations, the Silt Branch Library invites you to sample teas from around the world.
