Jerry Barlow will be performing at the Parachute Branch Library on Saturday, April 28th at 7pm. His Celtic melodies are characterized by wonderfully warm and expressive guitar stylings.

Join us at the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, as we celebrate the 108th birthday of Dr. Seuss! Find Dr. Seuss books, movies, and audio in our catalog.

Music lovers, join us at the Parachute Branch Library on Thursday, March 1, for some toe-tappin' a cappella singing. The Sweet Adelines are a female barbershop quartet from Grand Junction. In celebration of the Chinese New Year, the Gordon Cooper Branch Library in Carbondale, in partnership with Out of the Mud Puppet and Mask Theatre, presents a magical shadow puppet production of "Lin Yi's Lantern." Directed by local artist Soozie Lindbloom, it is a tale of a boy who finds out that giving is its own reward. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Showtimes are at 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 2.

All Garfield County Libraries will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, December 24-25, in observance of Christmas. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 26, at all branches.

The Rifle and Glenwood Springs Branch Libraries will close at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, so our employees may gather for a holiday reception. Other branches are closed on Sundays and will not be affected. Regular hours resume at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, at all branches.

All branch libraries will close at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21.
