Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, June 20th to watch the movie We Bought a Zoo.
Hawk Quest
Come to the Rifle Branch Library at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 1st for Hawk Quest!
This one-hour program includes a Bald or Golden Eagle, an owl, a falcon, and a free-flying hawk. Participants will learn about the importance of different raptor species, their specially-adapted tools, and their role in our ecosystems.
In this participatory program, everyone will be able to observe the unique tools of the owl, the incredible talons and six-foot wingspan of the eagle, the aerodynamic features of the falcon, and the precision flying of the hawk.
Family Loteria Night
Come to the Gordon Cooper Branch Library on Wednesday, June 13th at 6 pm for Family Loteria Night.
Summer Reading Movie Night
Dream Big with the Adult Summer Reading Program on Thursday, July 19th at 6:30 as we watch the classic movie "Fields of Dreams." We'll provide bean bag chairs, freshly popped movie-style popcorn, and drinks. This program is free and open to all ages and families.

World Book Night
World Book Night is an annual celebration designed to spread a love of reading and books. World Book Night is held in the U.S., the U.K., and Ireland on April 23, 2012. Tens of thousands of people will go out into their communities to spread the joy and love of reading by giving out free World Book Night paperbacks.

Photo Exhibit: Grit--Coloradans and the Dust Bowl
The Rifle Public Library is hosting a photo exhibit called "Grit: Coloradans and the Dust Bowl" in April. This exhibit is a collection of 20 Colorado photographs taken during the crippling dust storms of the 1930s. Most of the photos in this exhibit were taken by the U.S. Farm Security Administration photographers documenting life on the Great Plains during the Great Depression. The pictures come from collections at the Colorado History Museum and the Denver Public Library's Western History Collection. This exhibit is on loan from the Louisville Public Library.
New Castle Library CLOSED During Move
The New Castle Branch Library will be closed from Saturday, March 24 through Friday April 13 while we move into the newly remodeled library. The Grand Re-Opening will be held on Saturday, April 14 at 10 a.m. at 402 West Main Street in New Castle.
New Castle's Grand Re-Opening of the Remodeled Library
Join us at 402 West Main Street on Saturday, April 14, at 10:00 a.m. for the Grand Re-Opening of the New Castle Branch Library! We'll have refreshments and giveaways (until 2:00 p.m. or while supplies last), and you can check out the new building. The new library will feature a beautiful fireplace and reading area, local history room, teen area, interactive children's area, and a large community meeting room.
