Silt Construction Open House

An open house for interested subcontractors will be held Tuesday, January 17, at 4:30 p.m. at the Silt Branch Library located at 600 Home Avenue. The open house is a chance to see plans and hear from the general contractor about the project and the upcoming bid process. Glenwood Springs Construction Open House

An open house for interested subcontractors will be held Tuesday, February 21, at 4:30 pm at the Glenwood Springs Branch Library located at 413 9th Street. The open house is a chance to hear from the architect and the contractor about the project and the upcoming bid process. Although the program will focus on subcontractor participation in the project, members of the greater public are welcome to attend. You Can Do It: Honoring Women's History Month

Celebrate Women's History Month with author Jill Tietjen at the Silt Branch Library on Tuesday, March 6, at 7:00 p.m. Tietjen co-authored the best-selling book, Her Story: A Timeline of the Women who Changed America, which is a vivid documentation of the breadth and diversity of American women's achievements throughout U.S. history. Tietjen is one of the country's top historians on the topic of women in science and technology.

Photography Tips and Tricks

Join us at the Silt Branch Library on Thursday, March 22, from 6-7 p.m. Local portrait photographer Ashley Mickelson will give some basic tips on what you can do to make your photos zing! In addition to basic tips, she will focus on how to use lighting to create dynamic pictures of your family and friends. Light refreshments will be served. Registration is preferred; please contact the library at 875-5500.

Reel Readers: Movie & Book Club Discussion

Read Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte, then come to the Parachute Branch Library on Friday, February 17, at 6:00 p.m. for a screening of the movie and a discussion to follow. Come in and check out Parachute's giant screen and movie theater sound! Popcorn will be provided; participants are invited to bring in finger foods as well. This program is in cooperation with The Friends of the Parachute Library.

Open Interviews for Part-time Position at Rifle

Garfield County Public Library District is looking for a part-time (20 hours per week) Library Assistant for the Rifle Branch Library.

Individuals need to be organized, personable, and willing to work flexible hours including weekends. Library experience preferred, but not required. Starting wage is $12.50 per hour. Some benefits.
