Silt Branch Library Now Open!
Just seven months after breaking ground, the new Silt Branch Library is opening its doors at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 6. Come to the Grand Opening Ceremony to see the new facility, sign up for a library card, and check out the new materials. After the ribbon cutting, there will be refreshments, giveaways, and music to celebrate this momentous day.
Silt Book Brigade a Success!
The Silt Book Brigade was an amazing success! September 14th and 15th, more than 300 volunteers came out to help move about 12,000 items into the new Silt Branch Library. The event was covered by both the Post Independent and Chanel 9 news! The new Silt Branch Library, which is at 680 Home Avenue, will have its grand opening at 10:00 a.m. on October 6th.
Get Carded at the Library!
This September, Garfield County Libraries is offering free replacement library cards to those library patrons who have lost theirs or simply want to upgrade to the shiny new key cards we offer. Normally, replacement cards are $3 to help cover the cost of the new card. Take advantage of this great opportunity and and stop by your local library to get carded today.

This powerful, yet easy-to-use app gives you access to the library catalog to find books, movies, music, games, and more. Upcoming Hot New Titles
These titles will be released soon but you can get on the hold list now! Just click on a title to see it in our online catalog and then select Request This Title. You will need your library card number to place a hold. Some titles are available in both print and audio formats. You also may place a hold in-person at a branch library (ask any librarian for assistance) or by phone. See our Locations page for branch library addresses and phone numbers.
