  • Your Adobe ID authorizes you to download and sync ebooks across devices.
  • Adobe Digital Editions allows you to download ebooks to devices that do not work with the Overdrive App.
  • You do not need an Adobe ID or Adobe Digital Editions to use Kindle ebooks.

To get an Adobe ID you will need to register an email address with Adobe. Once you have an Adobe ID, you must add it to any device you use to read ebooks and any copies of the Adobe Digital Editions software you have downloaded.
